Priceville Heritage Walk!
About 50 people came out on sunny Sunday afternoon for a Priceville Heritage Walk, put on by The Walking Village and guided by David Turner. Walkers heard about some of the natural history of the area and several walkers who are long-time residents, shared their own stories of Priceville – even a few ghost stories!
The walk toured some of the north side of the Village, where historic plaques are located on many buildings, and then continued down to the Saugeen River before wrapping up at Lisa’s General Store for ice cream!
Each year, on the first weekend in May, the Walking Village holds a themed walk to participate with Jane’s Walk, a non-profit organization that celebrates walking in your neighbourhood. Last year more than 500 Jane’s Walks were held in 75 different countries.
